Brenda’s Iowa Story:

Brenda Clark Hamilton is a proud lifelong Iowan who grew up on a farm in northwest Iowa.

Brenda earned her Bachelor’s degree from Briar Cliff University in 1987 and was hired to teach high school English in Cedar Rapids. While there, Brenda met her husband, Chris, and taught two students who would go on to become famous Iowa athletes, i.e., Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner, and PGA Master’s golf champ Zach Johnson. Brenda also earned her Master’s degree from the University of Iowa, and since that time, has held a numerous leadership positions involving the education of Iowans. In 2000, Brenda, her husband Chris, and three sons moved to Algona to raise their family closer to Brenda’s family.

In 2005, Brenda sent a few brochures made on her home computer to Algona businesses, launching her dream business of providing workplace training in leadership, communication skills, and the like. Brenda quickly learned that her Iowa work ethic, integrity, and down-to-earth manner would play a significant role in the rapid growth of her speaking business. She spoke at her first statewide conference in Des Moines in 2008, and quickly became a nationally-recognized conference presenter, speaking at 110 events per year all over the nation…including two trips this past year to speak to the United States Olympic Committee.

Brenda is grateful for her Iowa journey and excited to see where this journey takes her in the coming years. No matter where that is, she will always be proud to say that she grew up on a farm just west of Everly…and is a lifelong Iowan.
